DPT blowing agent(N,N´-Dinitrosopentame-thylenetetramine) is mainly used in the industry of rubber products and PVC plastic products as the vesicant.
The dosage in the rubber and plastics industry is 3-5% and 5-15%. It is a kind of light yellowy powder with no odor, but there is odor of formaldehyde when it is moist. This product is inflammable and it is burning in acid or acid fog.
This product is hardly dissolved in aether, slightly dissolved in water, alcohol, and the chloroform. It can be dissolved in acetone, butanone, acetyl, acetic acid, ethyl ester and dimethylformamide.
