That is a good recipe and it does take out the room for errors. BUT, If you have a Great China mold maker and decent steel with the correct hardness and a design that was guided by your mold maker in China, then you will have a good mold. At the end of the day, you can adjust all parts of your recipe for cost effeciency and timing, BUT NEVER the Moldmaker. without the mastery of this key element, you would be dead in the water.
Mold Maker is specifically formulated resin to produce dimensionally stable high temperature molds for limited production injection molding processes. This 2-component 100% solids polyurea-based material is available in both hard or flexible versions to provide chemically resistant class A mold surfaces. Chinese Mold Makers may also be used to produce rigid or flexible high temperature parts. Flexible Mold Maker allows mold makers to incorporate no-draft deep side walls and undercut geometry. These resins may be pour cast, RIM injected or cartridge gun dispensed to create production molds, master plugs, secondary holding fixtures or final parts.
