This segmented saw blade is often called a dry cutting blade, and these blades are used when dry and wet cutting.
Segmented saw blades provide the roughest cutting effect and can be used for concrete, brick, concrete pavers, masonry/block, hard/reinforced concrete and limestone. The gullets (the space between the segments) helps to remove cutting dust and cool the blade. They also provide some flexibility for the blade to prevent cracks when used under harsh conditions.
