Detailed Description

Custom Plano-Concave Lenses for Laser Optics

Product Description

Plano-concave lenses convert incoming parallel light rays into diverging beams that appear to come from a point in object space, the so-called imaginary focal point. Like plano-convex lenses, these lenses have the least image aberration at absolute conjugate ratios greater than 5 or less than 1/5. For this reason, plano-convex lenses should be placed so that the parallel beam enters the curved surface of the Optical lens. However, when a plano-convex lens is used to disperse a high-power pulsed laser beam, this orientation of the lens can be detrimental, with stationary reflections from the curved surface creating secondary focusing that can damage the optics in front of the concave lens and even cause the laser to collapse at that point. Therefore, in high power applications, the concave surface should be oriented in such a way as to avoid secondary focusing.

CLZ supply high-quality optical components to customers in the laser measurement and laser scanning industry for applications such as distance monitoring systems, laser scanning, and mapping.

Our high-quality optical components include:

Single lenses, Condenser lenses, Doublet lenses, Triplet lenses, Optical windows, and optical Filters.

The materials include Optical glass, Fused Silica, Silicon, Sapphire, etc.

And our V coatings can suit all laser options available with R<0.25%-0.5%.
